![]() In both these cases the contrast between the textiles feels a bit clunky. I also feel that sometimes due to her limited focus, her attempts at creating interest via unusual textures can fall a bit flat, such as the dress in Row 1, right side or the top in Row 2, right side. It seems as though it would go against her aesthetic, but I think she could be well served to add some small bits of color into her work. Things I hope Mila improves upon in this competition: I hope Mila is able to reach a bit more outside of her comfort zone. I think this works best with a lighter hand, such as the amazing coat in Row 2, left side or the really cool dress in Row 4. I also hope that she continues with her very graphic, clean work. She is one of the few competitors whose strength really lies in interesting separates rather than pretty dresses, and I like that. Things I hope Mila brings back to this competition: I hope that Mila returns with her same sportswear sensibilities. Most images from Row 3, right-hand image from Tom & Lorenzo. She is probably best remembered for her no-nonsense attitude and her very particular aesthetic of black-and-white blocking. There are seeds of good ideas in the cocktail dresses that make use of manipulating folds (Row 1, center Row 2, right and Row 3, right) but in these cases, the fabric appears quite stiff and tortured.Īlso competing for All-Stars is Mila Hermanovski. I also hope that he has a lighter hand with his textiles. The dress in Row 3, center has quite unflattering proportions, and the look in Row 4 looks like a heavy slab. For example, several looks in this collection have fit issues in the top (Row 2 center and right looks) that appear as though they are going to fall right off the model. Things I hope Anthony improves upon in this competition: I hope that Anthony will have a more conscientious take on how clothes fit bodies. I also hope Anthony has maintained his sense of humor and has not become a parody of himself. He does things with his materials that seem insane, but somehow work, like the sequined pants (Row 1, left side) or asymmetrical ruffled confections (Row 3, left side). ![]() Things I hope Anthony brings back to this competition: I hope Anthony continues to show his maximalist aesthetic. He showed a decoy collection at Fashion Week. Anthony is also memorable for being brought back he was initially eliminated in the show’s tenth episode, but after a competitor withdrew, he was brought back and survived the next elimination. He is probably best remembered for his preference for glamorous gowns as well as for his over-the-top personality and hilarious quips.
